Dining: Convenient and Full of Options.
The dining here at Ball State is wonderful. Almost every dorm has its own dining hall, so there is no need to cross the campus to get some food. If you want to, however, its worth the trip. All of the unique dining features are excellent. Most provide the usual cafeteria food (which is above average in quality) as well as incorporating well known, recognizable chain restaurants such as Taco Bell, Starbucks, and Quiznos. All of these venues are covered by the meal plan only up until a certain amount, but its always sufficient. The meal plans themselves also vary in how many meals you get per week and how much additional cash you get. Ultimately its up to you: you can tailor your plan to your specific needs so you never have too much or too little.

Fantastic Opportunities
The avenues to pursue athletics at Ball State are fantastic while still avoiding the overwhelming sports culture which sometimes distracts student at other schools. There are numerous leagues, intramurals, and clubs to join to fit athletics in your life. The facilities here are also great and free or at least reasonable rates. There is almost always space for anyone to play basketball, soccer, or volleyball and enjoy any other recreation experience.

Depends on Who You Choose to Spend Time With.
There is not an overwhelming drug or alcohol scene here. Ball State certainly doesn't come of as a "party school". However, there is still plenty of partying to be spoken of and lots of wild stories. That being said, it really depends on who you are friends with. If you aren't interested in letting these things into your life you can very easily avoid them.
