Never a Dull Night...At Least for Me..Lol

We are located in the city of Norfolk, and even though people want to give it the "dangerous" label, its not that bad, and its still a CITY. Every city is filled with clubs/bars, there being 2 or 3 located in walking distances of the campus. If you have a way to drive then there are other clubs downtown and in the VA beach area. Not interested in the club scene and you still have the many house parties that are thrown from Thursday through Saturday in places all around around campus (The District, Village, and various streets along Hampton blvd). Either way there's something to do and you should never have a dull night unless you choose too.

Everything Is in Walking Distance for the Most Part

The Campus has most of the common necessities, so you don't have to walk far for too much. For going to the mall or places like walmart a shuttle is provided to these places, if you don't posses a car or don't feel like driving. Also for people who are coming from a late night class or leaving another dorm at night and are nervous to walk alone can be picked up by escort services to guarantee a safe trip. Only downfall would be the wait times for certain shuttles and arrival of the escort service.

Can Be Good, Depending on Where...

There are plenty of houses and small apartment complexes right around the campus. Finding a place for rent or lease isn't to hard, the only thing in question is your safety. I'm from DC, so to me the city isn't nothing I don't know how to handle, but other people it can be much and not being careful can put you in bad situations. Near the campus there is a nice apartment complex called the District, where MANY students stay; its very secure and they have their own security for the building.

Girls EVERYWHERE!!!

There should be NO REASON why no guy shouldn't be involved with at least one girl while attending ODU. They have every type you can imagine from every race and background. Whether looking for long term relationships or quick one nighters your covered. Just too many girls on campus and they outnumber the dudes.

Not Too Bad...

Campus police are pretty chill. They will turn their back on most things, but show their authority once things get out of hand. Most parties WILL get closed down just for the fact of too many people trying to get in them and fights breaking out.
