Dining at UD
University of Delaware has a few different dining halls. Not all dining halls are the same. During my freshman year the closest dining hall was very small for the amount of students. In order to get great food, you had to come early and wait in very long lines. As the lines shortened, the delicious food ran out. You were always guaranteed cereal though (Lucky Charms: my fav!). Other dining halls were newer, more spacious, and always offered great food. Despite my experience with my freshman dining hall, UD offers "points" that can be used towards a food court on campus. The food court has a burger place, Quiznos, pizza, salad bar, sushi bar, and Chickfila Whenever I did not feel like using my dining plan, I would use points towards Quiznos.

Living at UD
The dorms differ greatly at UD. Freshman year I was assigned the worse down on campus. We lost electricity, there was no space, and we did not have air conditioning. Despite the disadvantages, the social life of my dorm was greater than the more luxurious freshman dorm. So the experiences equaled out. Living on campus is very costly, but all of them are located close to campus. As a sophomore, I now chose to save money and rent an apartment off campus.

UD Transportation
Transportation at University of Delaware is great. There are shuttle buses every 10 minutes at all of the many bus stops, and if you want a ride late a night, there is a number you can call for a UD taxi. Taxi rides are free, but you have to wait a long time until they arrive.
