Don't Walk Alone
Pretty much daily you'll recieve emails from the school about some sort of crime right around the campus. The area has a large homeless population referred to as "Ave Rats" and it doesnt have the safety of a college town.

Parking
There isn't a lot of on campus parking and its really expesive. The same is true with off campus parking. There is free street parking in the greek system but you'll usually spend for ever trying to find a spot and end up parking 5 blocks away.

Average Life With Great Academics
UW is a great school academically and everyone is aware of it. Socially though its pretty average. There are a lot of commuters which really hurts school spirit.
