Overall Experience at Texas Christian University

D-

The people you meet will be great, the School itself sucks

I've met amazing people here. Good friends and a great job with good people. But TCU will SUCK YOU DRY financially and give you the run around when it comes to why you have certain charges and are always finding ways to get more money out of you. On top of that there aren't locks on tuiton, so it goes up every year meaning more loans. Also, like many schools majors are impacted. So if you're looking to get into business or nursing be sure to above average---average being the typical student in the school LITERALLY has a 3.5 and higher. I work in the academic services office and I see good hard working students with 3.3's and 3.2's get turned down all the time scrambling looking for new majors and a bunch of other crazy things. I personally don't believe TCU is worth it overall, I wouldn't trade the friends I've made but at the end of the day you're there to get a degree and the financial strain that students are placed on and some of the academic crap they have you do...doesn't equal out.

Diversity at Texas Christian University

D+

Uh...

TCU has come A LOOOOOOOOOONG way from how it used to be and minorities are steadily increasing yearly but for the most part this school is lacking. You really don't get the cultural feel unless and event is put on or something like that. If your looking to see a different face, culture, background, race every time you turn around, you're looking at the wrong place. I suggest looking elsewhere.

Greek Life at Texas Christian University

N/A

If you're anti-greek life....DON'T COME HERE!

This school, literally is about 80% greek life. Just about every event surround greek life. Rush is a huge event, most people make their friends there and don't typically go looking outside their sorority or fraternity to find new people. Everday you will see them together in the BLUU or just on campus wearing their letters, shirts, posting flyers about events everything. So if that's really not your thing, don't attend. I personally didn't care either way about it.
