Has anybody gotten in with a 3.5 G.P.A.? Please don't say an athlete

Among all the non-athlete friends I have made at UCLA, I don't think any of them got into UCLA with a 3.5 GPA or lower, unfortunately. The lowest GPA I have heard was a 3.8.

Hello I am unfamiliar with this school. A representative came from this school. Could you tell me about this school? All I know is that its in New York, J.J. Abrams went here, and excellent internships. What can you tell me about this school?

Graduating senior at SLC here. The big thing to remember about SLC is our distinctive course model -- seminars paired with one-on-one conferences with our #1 ranked faculty. Feel free to email me at junger at gm dot slc dot edu with specific questions.

I want to apply to New York University: Tisch School of the arts when i'm in my senior year. After 1 first semester, i am making a little portfolio for the school, it has my high school awards clubs, GPA and etc. Should i also make one for Tisch if so, what should i put in it?

What you described is usually called a resume isn't it? For Tisch you could make a portfolio of projects you worked on. This could be recordings of you acting, maybe a movie you made, whatever! It should just show your passion and dedication

How could I show my passion and dedication? So far I have all the playbills that I am featured in as well as when I became part the International Thespian Society. I also have what it listed that it needs from students. In a different section of I have my letters of recommendation and G.P.A. and test scores.

Could you describe the theatr/film and TV program like? On a scale 1 to 20 1 being like ehh it's not the best, 10 being like go to nyu for that major it's way better or 20 award winning. I'm very conflicted between columbia and NYU

Between Columbia and NYU, neither has a very excellent theater or film program. At Columbia, there isn't alot of people doing this type of field.

how about NYU

Thank you everyone that has helped me with my chance me profile with UCLA, I notice that most said that I needed a higher GPA. What would you reccomned it be? Instead of it being a 3.4 GPA

You should really try to pull it up to a 3.7 for a good chance at getting accepted.

4.2 weighted, but there are so many factors other than gpa

hcmac22 i know there are other factors though. thankyou for that idea but when i did my chance me thing on here most people voted that i need a high GPA so this year and next year (my junior year) i will try to make my gpa a 3.7
