Lock Your Doors!
The area around campus greatly varies. South of campus and south Tucson in general you want to stay away from. As I am searching for an apartment for next fall I will definitely look for one north of campus as that is the best area. If you can find one there and close to campus- you are going to be happy! Small house are also very popular with students here, as they are much easier to come by then apartments.

Every Night Is a Party
If you want to party on a Monday night, you can find one here! There are always people out on campus dressed to impress any night of the week! Thursdays through Saturdays are the most popular nights and the majority of students go to house parties and/or frat parties. The bar and club scene is mainly for students 21 or older.

No Drainage in Tucson
Tucson is hot and sunny the majority of the time. In the fall and spring it is absolutely beautiful and very enjoyable to walk around our big campus. Yet when the occasional rain does come, water is everywhere. The roads are difficult to drive on because there is no drainage and there is flooding all around campus. Thankfully that rarely happens and the weather is mostly great!
