In the dorms, you aren't allowed to drink but people do. As long as your quiet and discrete they don't check on you. But I wouldn't recommend it. As for at the bars it all depends, you'll hear about and learn to recognize undercover cops. If they ask you if you're drinking underage just fess up to it, or they'll hit you for a bigger punishment. If you get in trouble for drinking in dorms then the first offense is like a fine and a one page apology letter. They're isn't much to worry about, they understand it's a college town, just don't be doing anything to extreme.

We joke that when walking to class you think you might have just seen the most beautiful girl on the planet, and then the next girl walks by and changes your mind. There is a reason why most rankings you'll see online have FSU as one of the best look colleges in the U.S.

There is apartments for everyone at FSU, You need to sign early usually around January and February the year before. But prices range from 400 to 700 a room depending where you live. Bus routes go to most of the apartments which is nice. Next year I'm living in a brand new complex and they are keeping it relatively cheap. A good amount of the complexes are gated. When the time comes just do some research online and it shouldn't be too hard to find what you're looking for.

The football program is a huge deal, although they disappointed us this year. They still won the conference championship, but they're are national championship expectations around here with Jimbo's new recruiting classes. FSU is defending the ACC's basketball title too, we lost a lot of seniors but we're the tallest team in the NCAA. Mostly freshman, so the basketball team will be good in the next few years too (might even get #1 recruit.) The only thing to complain about is students leave games early during blowouts at halftime so they can go party more. But for marquee games (Gators, Clemson, Oklahoma) the atmosphere has to be experienced. You will get the chills the first time you see our mascot throw the spear in the ground at mid-field, and nothing will ever beat the pride of doing the Tomahawk Chop at the game.

If you're here for a summer semester, it's ridiculously hot. Then again so is the rest of Florida. But between October and March the weather ranges from really cold (for florida) to 60s and 70s. Thats when the weather is amazing. When your walking on campus it's definitely the best weather on a Florida campus.
