Campus Dining at Northeastern University

B

Decent but Boring

The food on campus is good, but it gets boring pretty fast. It's great to have places on campus like Rebecca's and Chicken Lou's to use your dining dollars or meal swipes and get better quality food. There is also multiple restaurants in the area that take dining dollars or Husky dollars, so it is easy to get more variety. However, strictly eating in the dining halls gets boring.

Nightlife at Northeastern University

B-

Over 21 or Apartments

When you are under 21 in Boston, your nightlife selection is minimal. There are some 18+ clubs, but most of them are extremely sketchy. If you want to party and are underage, you are best off at an apartment party. But be warned, Boston cops know where to look for parties. Mission Hill is great, but be careful, as the cops know the notorious houses. Bars in Boston are very strict on drinking age and crack down on fakes. Transportation is easy, with cabs, but remember that the T stops running at 12:30.

Transportation at Northeastern University

A-

To T or Not to T

The T is your best friend. You can walk most places near campus, but the T system is so easy to use and convenient (as long as you aren't out past 12:30), that you might as well learn to love it. It gets crowded and runs unbearably slow at times, but it's worth the $1.70 with a Charlie card. The airport is accessible, as are North and South station for buses and trains. The commuter rail is accessible right on campus from Ruggles for most lines. Transportation is extremely convenient on and around campus. The Green line E train and the Orange line both have stops on campus. Learn to love the T!
