A Wonderful Program
The biology department at my school is very well formed. The professors are all very helpful and interesting--all coming from different areas of biology and bringing different experiences. The workload for a biology major is aimed perfectly for someone who is really interested in the subject. Not to mention the amazing study abroad options for biology majors that allow you to study abroad and focus on your major at the same time (in Africa or New Zealand!). My only complaint is that, because it is a smaller school, the array of classes is not as large as it could be, but the courses offered are all good choices.

Just Outside the City!
Because L&C is just outside the city, it is easy to find larger houses that allow you to share a comfortable space with other students. Albeit, it can be a bit expensive because you are in/near a city. On the plus side, the public transportation system is great! There are 3 stops on the campus (all different routes) and there is a free school shuttle that stops in nearby neighborhoods and downtown.

It's the Northwest...
You choose to come here for a reason: overcast and rainy weather. It really depends on the person, but I really love it. The first month or two are really nice, warm weather. Then, you get into the rainy season which lasts till spring. The campus is small, so it's not a big deal if you don't have a raincoat nor an umbrella. Thankfully, it is more rainy than snow so, in the winter, early classes are rarely cancelled and it's due to ice, not snow. Personally, I find the weather very relaxing.
