Public Transportation

It's great, buses run from on campus to off campus which includes locations such as Walmart and Best Buy so it's totally possible for students who live off campus to get by through the transportation system. The bus drivers are friendly and the buses are in great shape and are usually clean.

Majors at James Madison University

JMU is a great school if you want to get into the college of business. I started off as an Art major but switched to finance an then to Marketing with an Art minor. The challenge for me was studying something I was interested in while keeping in mind that I was going to need a job to pay off all of my loans after school. It's very difficult for artists to have jobs and I knew that My interest in business and art was a perfect mix for marketing. The most important criteria for admission is your grades and course completions. There really isn't an abnormal application process. A tip for admissions would be to be interested in your major and work with that interest being the backbone of your studies. Studying just for the grade will prove to be short lived and you won't enjoy school unless you take interest in the area of your concentration.
