All the Same and Average
A lot of people here are all the same. Girls are average level of attractiveness, all wear the same uggs/northface the whole winter through. Guys are pretty attractive but there seems to be no substance behind the face. It's alright.

Wind Tunnel
The weather here is very windy all the time. The buildings are built in such a way that the wind chills the weather by at least 10 degrees every day - don't trust the weather report. There is slush until April - Cold and gross is a good way to describe it.

A Place for Everyone
This is a very good school for party people definitely. If you aren't a party person, we still have a strong academic program. The school is so large and has so many clubs and parts to it that there is a place for everyone.

More Afraid of the Cops Than the Students
I've been out and partied and never had an issue with anyone anywhere. If you are not a part person there are plenty of places where you can spend your time, or there are escort services that get you home ok without asking questions. However, what really scared me was when they closed down Spring Weekend 2011, what would be my first Spring Weekend (I was a freshman). They stopped all cars going through and wouldn't even let professors come in to give their students extra help that weekend. It was a police state, which is scarier than anything at UConn.

Many Cultural Centers - None Needed
You can find a cultural group for you at UConn where you can feel safe no matter what your race, cultural identity, gender, or sexual orientation. However, if you are a straight white red-blooded male, sorry. You get no representation at UConn. Coming from Worcester MA I have to say that UConn is pretty diverse.

Greek Life Exists
Greek life exists I guess, and they throw parties. They get their own housing too, depending on the organization. It has very little effect on your life.
