Ok
I was surprised how many good local bands were around here. Concerts Comitee and Rock the Quad usually bring in some bring artists, too. Last year Wiz Khalifa came! During the fall Tippecanoe county has the Feast of the Hunter's Moon festival, which the community gets really involved in and ther's a lot to do. Still, I think there could be more things to do closer to campus, especially during the winter.

Upperclass Dorms Are the Best
There are dorms of varying quality, depending on how much you want to pay. Some of the newer suites cost a lot, but you have a lot more space and share facilities with fewer people. I prefer living in the older dorms that are closer to campus. Freshmen may have a hard time getting the place they want, but it gets a lot easier later on because most start living off- campus sophomore or junior year.

Mostly Drinking
Purdue has a pretty casual scene- if people get involved in anything it's either drinking or smoking. Depending on who you hang out with, you could probably easily avoid it. Drinking is the big thing here.
