Classes
It isn't too difficult to receive a grade if you do your work and stay on top of assignments. Professors are willing to discuss your grades, and help you improve as long as you put effort in. They are very approachable and will make sure you know their office hours and are available. Many students develop friendly relationships with their professors, which definitely helps in terms of recommendations and opportunities, etc.

Local Atmosphere
The surrounding area is Burlington, and don't let them fool you there is no atmosphere here. There is a shuttle that takes you to the shopping center, but basically transportation other than that is limited, and the novelty of the outlets soon wears off. Popular stores like Forever 21, H&M or Aldos can be found in Greensboro and Raleigh. You will need a a car here, or access to someone who has a vehicle. There is an attempt to bolster the community, but I wouldn't see any major improvement for the next 5-10 years.

Housing
Housing priority is based on your gpa. If at any point you must cancel your housing assignment they will defer your housing until they've placed all the freshman. Elon is very serious about improving their residence halls. They've built 3 new res halls, 5+ Greek houses and are currently tearing down old halls to build new ones and also creating a junior/senior housing slightly off campus. The newer dorms like Colonnades are the nicest, but i've lived in the older dorms and they aren't bad either. The only downside is that because of this construction tuition will most certainly go up.
