Living on Campus
Although I thoroughly enjoy living on campus because it is close to a dining center and my classes, and it helps me to relate to a lot of other people on campus, the options are not that great for the first year students. The dorms are a little old and small but for the money that you pay they are good quality and they are able to be made homey and comfortable. But, it is very inconvenient to have to use a key to get into the bathrooms, which are cleaned once a day on weekdays.
However, next year I plan on living off campus at the campus apartments which are fully furnished and come with either 2 double rooms or 4 single rooms. They offer more space for students to live more independently with people of their choice instead of random roommates. I really look forward to making my apartment my own and moving in with my future roommates.

Parking Doesn't Mess Around
If you park on campus most of the time students have to part in Jack Trice Stadium, about a 1/2 mile off campus. It is very inconvenient to have to go that far to get my car and to have to move my car before football games. It is also kind of expensive to have a car on campus, even though I like having it to be able to go home. Also, when moving your car you have to be careful to park in places that are available for students to park in. The parking patrol are not nice people, and although I have not gotten a ticket, *knock on wood*, I do not want to get one any time soon, they are expensive to pay and are not pleasant to see on any windshield. However, if you live in the off campus apartments you can park your vehicle closer to the building. But the bus system is very good so it is not necessary to have a car on campus, unless you are like me and live 3 hours away and don't know many people that live in your direction to bum a ride home from.
