I live in GA and my Dad went to FSU. I heard that there are discounts to students whose parents are alumni. Is this true?

I believe there are discounts at the student union bookstore, but there aren't discounts at any on-campus food places from my knowledge.

Not that I've ever heard of and I've known people whose parents are alumni.

I've never heard of students with parents that are alumni's getting discounts, so I don't believe so.

Are there any ways for me to get in-state tuition to go to bama? I live in Georgia and if anyone has any info on how to get in-state tuition that would be great!

You can become a resident of Alabama after a year of living in the state, therefore allowing you qualify for in-state tuition.

If you do well on your SATs, you qualify for large tuition scholarships. If you can hit 1400 on your SATs, you can get a full tuition scholarship. If you are majoring in Engineering/Computer Science, you can qualify for a full tuition scholarship at 1330 SAT in addition to an extra $2500 scholarship (for the heck of it). Here's the link: http://scholarships.ua.edu/types/outofstate.html

I were recently a transfer student. As told to me, I must have a job in Alabama or have stayed in Alabama for one year. This information is from Shelton State. If you plan on attending another Alabama college it is best for you to call the college admission and ask for the in-state qualification.

You can be awarded in-state tuition if you receive one of the presidential scholarships based on GPA and ACT/SAT scores.
