Local Atmosphere
Eugene is a great town full of quirky and unique people and things to do if you know where to look. 13th Ave is the main place for fun shops and restaurants and runs right through campus. A couple times during the year they even do street fairs along 13th. A bike is a necessity for getting around on and off campus, especially since parking is horrible. There are lots of hippies and liberals which I love, but Eugene is certainly not for everyone.

Diversity
There is a lot of diversity on campus in terms of race and religious beliefs. However, in terms of political views, most students are very liberal.

Transportation
Buses are free for students which is awesome! There are a lot of things to do within walking distance of campus. Most students have bikes to get to places a little too far to walk, there are not many students who bring there cars to school.
