Honor Code
BYU has an honor code that prohibits any drug/alcohol use on campus, any sex outside of marriage, any immodest dress (as defined in the honor code), any cheating or plagiarism, etc. This honor code is required of every student that attends BYU, even those that aren't Mormon (which is the religion affiliated with the campus.) Although these "rules" may seem strict and can get you kicked out of the school with just one offense, generally speaking the counselors will work with you before just kicking you out. So it is very strict (D-) but at the same time I think it is a good thing to have in place (B+)

Parking Is Horrible
Parking for students is extremely limited and entirely inconvenient. While in the spring, summer, and early part of fall walking isn't out of the realm of possibility, in the winter, walking is an absolute nightmare. Yet, parking is even worse. There are no restrictions as far as who can register their car to park in student parking, but there are no parking lots actually convenient for the students, despite several large parking lots and a parking garage for faculty on campus in a nice location. It just plain sucks, but if you don't want to feel trapped in Provo, a car is pretty much necessary.

Good Weather
I really like Utah weather. It is really nice in the spring, summer and fall -- It's still 80 degrees outside and it's nearly October. Winter I love because I love snow. If you don't like snow or dealing with snow, then you probably won't like it here. But snow doesn't usually get in the way on campus, the grounds crew is really good about clearing the walkways.
