Stay Cautious
Howard University is located in a rather precarious spot in DC, and it is not always safe. Never walk alone late at night, and always stay vigilant, especially if you're a girl. As long as you make sensible decisions, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Diverse for an HBCU
Most people think there's no diversity an HBCU, but that's not the case at Howard. Almost everyone is black, but every state, religion, and ethnicity is represented. There is also a sizable LGBT presence. There is a group for everyone at Howard.

Beautiful Black Girls
Howard is around 65% female, so girls are everywhere. For the most part, Howard girls are attractive, intelligent, and stylish. Most men would love to be in a relationship with one. The guys at Howard are pretty attractive too, but about 1/4 are gay, and some have a player mentality. It can be hard to date as a girl at HU.
