Fire Alarm Frenzy
Living in the dorms is the funnest part of freshman year. Being a freshman, the dorms here you are more likely to be placed in Studebaker West, Lafollette or Noyer halls. La Follette hall is extremely social and nearly all freshman and sophomores enjoy their time there. It is loud and energetic while Noyer and Studebaker West and East are a bit more reserved. There are activities to do every Friday and Saturday, even some during the week. Bathrooms are cleaned everyday by a janitorial service and nearly all dorm halls have a private exercise room- so there is no reason to gain that Freshman 15! Although it is a lot cheaper to live off-campus than in the dorms, it is an experience most need to have. You can almost bet on having a fire alarm every month; maybe more. Burning Easy Mac is almost an everyday occurrence in the dorms and don't be surprised if you are awoken by the fire alarms at 4a.m.!

Mixing Pot of Ethnicities
There is an eclectic amount of ethnicity here. You can bet you will not be the only "Indian" or "African American" in class. It is encouraging to have such a nice mix of cultures here on campus because there are many interesting topic discussions and events held where you can learn and explore about a different culture.

On-Campus Shuttles
On-Campus Shuttles will save your life in the winter. Taking you up and down the main drag of campus, you don't have to weather the elements. The shuttles also take you to the stadium for games and for parking. There is also the MITS buses which can take you to Walmart and the mall if you don't have a car.
