Being any type of major in the Liberal Arts school is generally looked down upon by the majority of students who are either engineers or business majors. However the workload is very rigorous and every bit as difficult as most other majors. The economics department isn't as developed as I would like it to be, but most of the professors are very experienced and provide significant insight on what we can do with our economics major. Every year there is also a career fair where we are able to puruse different corporations offering internships for our major. All in all the program is decent and provides many outlets for us to discover how we can use our degree after graduation.

Living on Campus Truly Enhances the College Experience.
The dorms at Marquette range from apartment style to barely livable. I lived in the smallest dorm on campus my Freshman year (McCormick) but the social atmosphere was so strong it wasn't an issue. Living in a dorm was one of the most important parts of my college career. Not only did I meet some of my best friends during that experience, but I also learned the difficulty of living with someone I didn't get along with and how to overcome the disputes we got into during the year. The cost of living in the dorms was not worth the actual amenities, but it was absolutely worth the experience I got. All of the dorms are conveniently located, not one being more than a ten minute walk from campus and most being located directly on campus. Overall the dorm experience at Marquette is one of the crucial parts of adapting college life.

The Parking Situation Is Average but Not Great.
The parking situation at Marquette isn't awful, because it is really unneccasary to have a car on campus. Living in an urban area, we have great accessibility to public transportation and when the weather is nice most things are in walking distance. however for those who do decide to park on campus, the parking is an absurd 1,000 dollars a semester. If you need a parking spot you can absolutely get one but it may not be in the spot you want (it could be block away from where you live). Overall the parking situation at school isn't awful mostly due to the fact that most people do not bring their cars to school.
