People Who Are Chill
The people at Emerson are really artsy for the most part, but very easy to get along with. There is a very active homosexual community, but if you happen to be a straight woman that shouldn't be a concern since the university does happen to be in the middle of Boston. People's dress is relaxed yet fashionable, and the people are attractive, though again, in an "artsy" way. Not a lot of bar hopping or anything like that, but people do have smaller parties.

There are three fraternities and three sororities, but they're mostly for networking. If you are interested in Greek Life, do not go to Emerson.

Communication
Emerson is small and very communication based, so essentially you're surrounded by people who are interested in the same things as you. It's not like a normal university, it's a college, so the areas of study are much more specified. It makes for a really great learning environment.
