Diversity?
Although most students appear to come from similar affluent backgrounds, Oxy does do a good job a pulling students from a wide range of academic interest and intellectual ability.

Small School
Drinking is pretty standard for a college campus and most students have a history with smoking. Parties are usually limited to small, overstuffed houses and although there are students who experiment with harder drugs- most do not.
