A Good Mix of People
Like most other campuses, the majority of the students are white or Asian. However, many people attend this school and I have seen many people of all different kinds of ethnicities, some that I have never even heard of before. Sexual preference is well tolerated and there is a Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender center on campus. Overall I think everyone can find their place on campus and can mesh well with other groups.

Freshmen Can't Park Near Their Own Dorm
It is an overall rule that freshmen, like myself, cannot bring cars to campus. However, if you can convince student housing to allow you to park on campus then you can only park your car at the off-campus dorm which is an inconvenience to those who don't live there. I think freshmen should be allowed to park in the parking lots near their dorms.

Not Too Shabby
Academics are great here. We offer the most majors out of all the UCs. Student life is also nice and enjoyable. Biking around campus is definitely fun and saves a lot of time. The weather is not very enjoyable in the winter because it is cold and rains for a week at a time.

Notified of Useful Opportunities Frequently
My major is under the Chemistry department and I always receive emails from the major advisor. His emails always inform me of great opportunities such as available internships, jobs, and workshops. So far, the workload of the required classes is not too difficult and I have found that students in my required classes are very willing to create study groups to help each other out.

Big Campus With Great Arboretum
This is the largest campus of all the UCs and leaves plenty of room for large grassy areas to take a nap, hang out, and play sports. There is a variety of trees and plants all over campus. The best variety is in the Arboretum where different plants from different regions are displayed. There is a nice path around the Arboretum where people can bike, run, or walk. You can also see a variety of creatures including, geese, ducks, lizards, squirrels, and even horses. It is the most peaceful and beautiful place on campus
