My Chosen Major – I am an Organizational Communication major, but there are five different concentrations to choose from. There was no certain application process, but I did declare my major freshman year and enrolled in the appropriate classes. I will have to do a senior thesis the semester I plan to graduate.

Thank God It's Thursday! Depending on what type of person you are, you can go out to dinner, go play laser tag or bowling, or go the nightclubs in Hammond. Bowling, laser tag, and the nightclubs offer discounts to Southeastern students. Thursday nights begin a college student's weekend, and that is when most students attend the clubs. All students under 21 are wrist-banded to avoid alcohol consumption.

Diverse Dining Options – There is a great variety of ethnic diversity in the restaraunts around campus. There is Italian, Japanese, Mexican, Chinese, and Cajun, to name a few. Some places offer discounts to Southeastern students. most are within a 10-20 minute driving range from campus. Best places to check out would be Bradys, Tommys, Mariners, and Santa Fe.

Why Go Greek? Greek life is a great way to meet new people and be involved on campus. Each sorority and fraternity has different goals and ambitions, and people usually join Greek life based on similar qualities and lifestyles that they share with other people. Mulitple events and functions are held on campus by Greek life, and they give students a chance to socialize and they give information about Greek life membership. In addition, Greek life promotes lifelong friendships and bonding.
