Guys & Girls at University of Wisconsin

A

Definitely Attractive.

Guys are really attractive, and there are a variety of different types. You've got your classic midwestern guys, hipsters (there are a multitude of hipsters at UW), jocks, frat bros, plain bros, farmer boys (AKA short course boys or "shorties")... Pretty much any kind of guy you're looking for, we've got at least one.

Girls are, for the most part, pretty standard. Lots of the typical midwestern girls (Northface jacket, jeans, and boots. Classic every day look), hipster girls, coasties (either east coast or west coast, doesn't matter, they both look strange in Wisconsin), nice sorority girls (tri Delts!), and sorority bitties/sorostitutes (everyone except the tri Delts).

Slight overview of everything else:

Fashion, for the most part is really casual, and continues to get more and more casual as the Wisconsin winter kicks into gear. Everyone's smart here, so that's just a huge factor on the attractive scale. Sports gear is a big trend here, Under Armour is huge, Northface/Columbia jackets are a must have, if you're feeling classy a peacoat is really nice to have in the winter, scarves are a big trend in general... Everyone's really friendly, don't be concerned about making friends. Ever. Everyone parties. Even the kids that don't party. Nearly everyone is looking for at least a hook up, except those few people. So if you're looking for action, go to your local house party or frat party.

Nightlife at University of Wisconsin

A+

Bumpin.

Speaking as a freshman who's nearly through her first semester, I'd have to say as long as you're up for making an effort to find a party, underage nightlife is fantastic. Stock up on five dollar bills, or find a way to sneak in red solo cups. Mills Street is notorious for throwing parties, frats always have something going on, although they definitely water down their alcohol (who can blame them). Sellery and Witte usually have some form of party going on on a floor somewhere, but watch out for cops. City police are really chill, but some of the campus police have no mercy. Bottom line, if you want to party in Madison, you'll be able to find a party.
