You Get What You Pay for

Baltimore is a city and like most cities, housing is fairly expensive. Of course you can find a cheap place for around 400 a month, but for a decent apartment or house, you would need to pay at least 700+ a month. Although most off campus housing is very closer, the cheaper the buildings get, the farther and less secure it can become.

Library Will Be Packed

JHU is very competitive and with that in mind most people don't care what they look like. Of course there are a small number of students who dress up etc, but the average student will stay in his/her cubicle in the library for most of the night. Like every college parties are part of the experience but, compared to most states schools, it's nothing too exciting
