Beauty School Drop-Out, Go Back to E-School...

E-School really isn't as tough as everyone makes it out to be. There is work, but if you read the textbook and pay attention in class you will learn the material and be on top of classes. Make sure you balance sleep, social, and study.

Tip: without sleep, study and social aren't as vibrant.

Make sure to get out at least once a week and do something fun: Take a hike through the forest (C-ville has an abundance of trails right at the edge of campus that go all around the city, I run them a couple times a week, or go to a concert or theater either on grounds or in town, or do something else that tickles your fancy, as long as it helps to de-stress you from the mental weight of school.

Professors are friendly! Talk to them! Have lunch with them! There's a program just for that, so take advantage of a free meal and get to know a professor better!

E'ry Day We're Shuffling

Excellence, I have to say. There are a generous number of libraries, many with quiet cozy places to nap and study. The AFC is a fabulous place (I recommend frequenting the place)! Our Grounds have been considered some of the most beautiful in the US, and I must agree. Here is my first fall with changing leaves, and, though I miss the abundance of green, I am in awe at the vibrancy of red leaves and love walking through the fallen colors. Events happen daily and if you want to go out, you'll find something if you look.

Round, Round, Get Around, I Get Around!

Grounds is extremely pedestrian friendly. Bicycles are useful to get to a place in 5 instead of ten minutes. Buses are free and very accessible both around Grounds and around Charlottesville. There is an online program called Zimride that is a useful long distance car pooling network. Also, there are several Zipcars around grounds that can be rented for an hour, a day, or a weekend.
