Off-Campus at FSC
There is a great amount of places to dine in Lakeland. Most students here decide to go to the commercial places like Chili's or Panera Bread. Lakeland does have a down town where there are smaller businesses. A lot of students don't realize that until they are of age to start drinking since there are a fair amount of bars a pubs to try.
Outside of the downtown though there is the Mall, and the outside Mall where there are plenty of places to eat. There isn't a whole lot for the students who don't have transportation, however. Most restaurants are driving distance.

Rain
The local weather doesn't typically affect my campus experience. The only thing that it may affect is the rain when going to class. Because there isn't a whole lot of parking here at FSC, walking in the rain can get a little sickening after a while

Positives and Negatives
I love that this school is so small, but it definitely has it's negative aspects. The second you do something wrong, it goes campus wide. Bored people will talk about you whether you are doing something bad or good. The plus to a small community is that everyone is connected. It's nice to know that I can talk to just about anyone if I need help in a class. I have yet to start a new semester and not know someone in my first day of class.
