Pretty Cool – UIW doesn't have the greatest social events, but we do have some fun traditions like a foam party, waffle mania (free waffles the day before finals week), a golf cart parade for fiesta, and a free spaghetti dinner hosted by the president of the university.

Great Personal Attention – Almost all the professors here at UIW are super cool and understandable in every aspect. The best part is that you can go to their office hours and get help with anything you might need. The class size averages around 20, so it's worth going to class.

Some Sports Are Okay. UIW has some school spirit, but not enough most likely because our football team isn't very good at all. The sports facilities are all right. Our best sports teams are synchronized swimming, boy's soccer, baseball, and softball.

Not Noticible – At UIW you hear little stories of people drinking, but you never see it, mostly because most of the dorms are dry.

Strict Rules – UIW has a strict policy when it comes to underage drinking and illegal drugs. I feel this makes our campus safe. However, the fact that you can't have any beer/alcoholic drink memorabilia in your dorm is a little too strict. In order to graduate, you have to complete 40 volunteer hours. This is part of the UIW mission, and is not that difficult of a task to complete since there is at least one community service opportunity once a week.

Awesome Atmosphere – UIW is located in San Antonio, but you don't feel like you're in San Antonio. The campus feels like a little community where you belong. San Antonio has great weather, but it can get over 100 degrees a lot during the summer. There are a few restaurants located within walking distance of UIW. San Antonio has many attractions, such as the River Walk and Alamo that are fun to enjoy.
