Any social clubs that Freshman should join for a good time? Or any suggestions on elective courses?

Guitar and art classes are great for meeting people and relaxing.

Clubs have never really appealed to me. Honestly, the best social options for Freshman come from just living in the dorms or some cool off-campus housing. There are enough social events off campus, you don't need to worry about joining a club.

I joined the Quarks. They are a group sci-fi/Fantasy fans who get together, play video games, board games, card games, watch movies and just have an all around good time. I would highly recommend them.

Join the intramural sports program. It provides students with healthy and fun entertainment and great competition

Most majors have a club attached to them. The most robust one I know is the Landscape Management Club. If you're interested in a job in landscape, join the major and the club will get you a job.

I would definitely suggest some of the Student Development courses offered here. They give you a chance to get a broader look to try and figure out your major or career field and what you need to excel in those fields.

Why would a non-LDS person attend BYU?

The Honor Code prohibits swearing, cheating, and illicit substances, while encouraging sportsmanship and respectful discussions. This is good for any prospective student who is looking for a clean, moral campus. We also have a mountain--excellent for personal hiking or dates!

Tuition is the cheapest around for the quality of the education you get. Also, like the other commenter stated, The Honor Code can be valuable for those who want to go to a school with high values and standards.

Oh wow! Thank you! I just figured since it?s a Mormon school.. and it takes a lot to be admitted, that only Mormons would want to go there. Thank you!!

Because it is an amazing environment to gain your education! This school rocks!

Even for a non-LDS person, tuition is still extremely cheap compared to other universities of this size. The environment on and around campus allows for students to be serious about their studies and still have fun and hang out if they want.

We have some of the best programs in the country in several areas. A few I can think of off the top of my head are the business school, the ballroom dance program, language programs.
