VERYYY SAFE
I have never felt unsafe on campus. The Hampton Police do a good job of keeping campus issues to a minimum. We can have fun with little to no threat to our safety.

Apartments Are Easy to Find, but Can Be Pricey!
There are ALOT of Hamptonians who live off-campus. There are numerous places where people can live and I have heard few complaints. The only problem you may run into is the pricing. A roommate/roommates is definitely the way to go.

Home by the Sea
Though Hampton has its cons, I can truly say that I love it. As a Hamptonian who is heavily involved with campus life, I appreciate everything it has to offer. The rules can get a little annoying at times, but overall the Hampton experience is a GREAT one! In order to enjoy yourself you MUST go to LOTS of campus events (seminars, parties, concerts,games, etc.). If you take my advice, you will LOVE Hampton too! :)
