My roommate is a communications major and she really likes the program at Salem State. There are good classes offered and the program has good advisors.

I'm not in one, but my friend who is currently staying in Belk loves it. She says that she loves the freedom of not needing to make sure they look nice because there are no guys around. However, I live in the coed dorm and also love it. To each their own!

Most class sizes are fairly small (15-20), but there are a few basic courses that are large lecture style and include 100+ students. Each professor makes it fairly easy to ask questions in class and leaves room for discussion at the end of most classes.

I don't know much about that department but my friends' opinions on it are all good! It is an easy department, and doesn't take much to graduate with a communications major

Yeah. I've only heard of one bad thing happening all year. They take a lot of safety precautions. I never feel unsafe or worried.

With Communications, it can be related to the Cameron School of Business which is excellent. It is one of the top business schools in the country.

some argue that it's not that active on campus, but i personally think that without a football team/heavy sports its pretty noticeable around campus since there's really nothing else. you don't have to be in greek life to have a social life and people in greek life aren't exclusive or anything. everyone is friendly and welcoming for the most part, regardless of greek standing.

Most are professors, however I did have one or two grad students as teachers so far in my college career.

Even though it isn't a large school, UNCW is very big on Greek Life!

Greek life is definitely prominent at UNCW but you don't need to be involved to have a social life!
