Pretty Safe
I have not necessarily felt unsafe at Northwestern, but with all of the security alerts that we receive emails about tell me that I should probably shouldn't be as comfortable as I am walking alone at night on campus. But I have noticed that most of these security issues are not necessarily on out campus, but around it (i.e. on streets surrounding campus.)

Relatively Diverse
Northwestern is a lot more diverse than my hometown which is like 95% caucasian. I definitely like the diversity and I think that generally diversity is accepted in the Northwestern community, but I have also noticed that most students of similar backgrounds tend to hang out with each other more than others.
