Campus Safety
Considering Irvine is one of the safest cities in the nation its pretty self-explanatory. There really is not that much crime on campus, everyone seems to have come from a good background.

Campus/Off Campus Dining
I live in the freshmen dorms Mesa, so the most convenient dining hall to eat in is Mesa commons. Commons on average is not a very good place to eat, food is so greasy, and sometimes there are no healthy options. The workers sometimes take forever to serve food and you can sometimes find yourself waiting in line for 10/15 min. Off campus there are some really good asian cuisines, but if you dont have a car or know somebody that does its hard to get out and try these places. But, everything is pretty expensive since Irvine is such a nice neighborhood.

Experience
For me since I was born and raised in orange county I havnt had the best college experience since I feel like im going to school in my backyard. It is not your typical college school surrounded by a college town or city at your fingertips. Almost everyone goes home on the weekends and sometimes the place get empty pretty fast when you are trying to find something to do. If you are looking for a school to have an amazing time with great nightlife this is not the place for you but if you are looking just to focus on your academics and meet a few close buddies throughout your time then this a good fit for your.
