Brigham Young University Transportation was reviewed by lmayfiel

They've actually got some pretty good transportation options these days. There's a campus shuttle service that runs to three of the major off-campus housing locations. They have Hertz Rent-A-Car at all the dorms. And you can get along in Provo without a car just by taking the bus. Campus parking isn't great, but it's doable. Walking gets pretty cold in the winter but, you know, it's Utah...

Brigham Young University Scholarships was reviewed by lmayfiel

BYU is great because the tuition is nice and low, so government financial aid will cover most of tuition. Also, there are some good scholarships available. I was able to get plenty of funding the whole time I was here. Check with your department/college to see what scholarships there are available. I actually applied for one, and I didn't get it, but someone on the selection committee noticed that I was from California and directed me to a different scholarship based on that, which I was awarded. So there's more options than you think, and you could probably talk to your adviser about it.

The editing program is so fantastic. You gain so many good skills, marketable, and it really gave me the opportunity to build on each of my experiences and now I'm headed off to a really prestigious grad program and hopefully a fulfilling career.

There are definitely places to go, but you need to kind of know how to find them. There's a good student discount program through the university called the Starving Student Card, and there are a number of really good, really cheap Chinese places in downtown Provo.

I've loved the editing program. I would totally do it exactly the same way again. I want to get into the publishing industry, and I've been able to get the help I need to look into the jobs I want.

It was super easy to get in—there's no application process beyond declaring the major—but the program is still very high quality.

I have a great on-campus internship with the Humanities Publication Center. The boss and work atmosphere are so great, and I've gotten a lot of really good experience that has made me marketable in other jobs I've applied for.
