Attractions include food, some shopping, outdoor parks, nearby farms, and during the summer, the racing track. Many locals are fond of the college students. It's a nice, a little expensive on the main street, as well as outdoorsy and historical. I would categorize this town as a paradise for dog-lovers-- little bowls of water are often kept outside on the sidewalk in front of many of the stores.

Skidmore Diversity
In terms of race and ethnicity, I believe that the school is pretty mixed and there are a growing number of international students, but there is still a majority of white, American students. I've been to discussion and it seems that a lot of minority students have trouble finding true acceptance-- in whatever identity they possess in the agent group-- but that I believe our school is becoming more aware and open towards these issues of acceptance. There is little diversity in race among the faculty, I might add.

Skidmore Parking
There is a real lack of parking close to my dorm. However, there is always spots far away. The cost to register and park a vehicle is a lot of money to make up for this limited parking. Campus safety gives out a lot of parking tickets if you aren't in the right spot. There is no clear parking for visitors.
