Off-Campus Housing Unnecessary

There are very few options for off-campus housing, but housing is guaranteed all four years, and on-campus housing is hard to beat. If people do live off campus it is generally in their Greek house.

Alcohol Use Is Rampant but Safe

The drug scene is probably the same as at many other schools, but due to the huge influence of Greek life on campus, which is open to everyone and which serves free alcohol, the drinking scene is huge. That being said, some people do decide not to drink and are perfectly happy. The drinking scene is very safe, though, despite being a large part of social life on campus, because of the Good Samaritan policy which allows people to call Safety and Security on friends (or themselves) if they are worried about excessive alcohol intake. Neither the caller nor the person being picked up will get in any sort of legal trouble, although, depending on their B.A.C., they may need to complete an alcohol safety course.
