I wish there was more interaction with professors. I do wish professors had to actually "teach" us. Although we are online it would be nice if the professors would/could lecture by video or something. Classes are condensed into week time frames so work is already doubled, when you are basically teaching yourself by reading everything you have to know, it makes things a bit difficult. That is the only downfall.

Since I started this school, their technology fee has been raised by $10 every quarter that I take a class, it started at $75, now up to $110 the first time it changed it jumped by $20.

Walden has been great! The financial aid dept, advising, and counselors are awesome and quick to respond to emails or phone calls. I chose Walden for their reputation. I love the flexibility of assignments, and not having to log n at specific times, except to ensure assignments are posted by deadline. Being an online school you have the opportunity to interact with people from many different places and cultures as well. The price of tuition is about the same as it is anywhere else.

Walden University Academic Experience had a new discussion posted by

Being an online school the student body is made up of so many different cultures. You can learn so much from each other during the discussions etc. The financial aid office, advisors, and counselors are great and go above and beyond to help you succeed and get resolve any issues you may have in a timely manner.
The courses are 6 weeks long so it is fast paced. There is plenty of reading to do for each class as well. The technology fee seems to go up regularly, and of course there are books to be purchased. Over all I give them an A.

I had looked at other schools, the prices were higher and the reviews I read were not all that great for them. I researched Walden and I am so very happy with my decision.

Great Class Material – The classes I am taking are all geared toward my field of study. I am not taking a lot of time just studying theory and the like. The workload is about right, sometimes the reading material can be overwhelming, but that is part of college, right?

Awesome School – The Faculty at Walden truly care about their students. The whole administration seems too as well. The classes we must take pertain to our degrees so there are not unnecessary dollars and credits being used up.

No Hasslses – The curriculum, staff and workload are all sufficient. I have not had to transfer any credits so cannot comment on that area. Anytime I have had to contact Admissions, Academic Advising or Financial Aid, my matters have been handled swiftly and with a great outcome.

This school has been amazing in every way possible. The financial aid office is speedy and on top of things. Academic advising, really help you decide which courses to take when and why. The enrollment department are pretty good too. Overall this has been an amazing experience. I see there is a lot of diversity in our classrooms although we cannot see each other, we introduce ourselves and have class discussions.
I have had a couple of times where I had emergencies and assignments were going to be late or were late, the staff is so kind and understanding. The professors are knowledgeable and take the time to ensusre the students understand the content they are teaching.
