Only Here for the Academics – The branded name of UCLA is the only reason why I'm here; I admire the professors here and what they offer for us students in education and learning. The campus is also aesthetically pleasing, but that's about it.

Fan Support – The athletics are fine; there's a lot of fan support at the games, but I don't personally attend any of them.

The Backlash Is There – Although now fully apparent or present, the discrimination is there, especially against Asian Americans (as one student so previously ranted about on her youtube video). There are many cliques on campus that make campus unity a difficult thing to achieve, and many Christian promoters that try to recruit followers.

Campus Policy – Cheating is highly intolerated; if you are caught cheating on exams, suspension could be your next punishment.

My nightlife is not spent typically as partygoers go, but with friends to just hang out, go to shops and stores, and watch movies.

Buses and Walking – If you don't have a car, that's fine because the area around UCLA is filled with restaurants, attractions, and places to hang out with friends, if you desire to. There are buses that students can ride for a discounted price, and Westwood caters to the students as well with deals. Walking to places is what students usually do, as it is most convenient for us poor college students!

Chemistry Major – So far, the Chemistry major doesn't diverge from the Biochemistry major for the prerequisites except for a few areas (Life Sciences). The workload is manageable, the classes are fine so far, but I reckon they will increase in difficulty as many pre-meds are also involved in the physical sciences majors.

Greeks....Fine, I Guess – The Greek system is not something that I'm a part of, so there's not much I can comment about the sororities and fraternities on campus. I have nothing against them.

Campus Is Beautiful! The school's architecture is enough to make me a happy gal, and there are 12 libraries where studying can be done at. However, not all of them are known, so people usually crowd together at Powell (fresh-full of freshmen and sophomores...). Bruin Walk always has people handing out flyers to you, desperately urging you to join whatever club they're sponsoring. It's annoying, really, and I'd try to avoid that area as much as possible.

Not So Sure About This – The campus is pretty large, and since the actual dorm area is separated from the rest of campus, it's difficult to feel safe while walking back to your room at night. There are campus police who escort you back, if needed, but I've never used those because I haven't yet stayed on campus that late. Campus crime is reported very often, so keep your stuff safe.
