yes, definately,alot of people have referred to it as rough, but we toured alot of the areas around it and it is your typical middle class area with restaurants and retail closeby.

There are some parts of High Point that are not safe, but if you have common sense you won't ever find yourself there. The majority of High Point is very safe to venture out into. Lots of great local restaurants. Check out the Palladium too. Campus itself is easily one of the safest in the country.
