There are not too many public transportation options available in Lakeland, and the need is not urgent on campus. After hours, if you feel unsafe walking around campus, a safety officer will gladly pick you up and drive you to your destination. During the day, the campus is small enough that you can walk to and from classes easily. Around town, there are buses that are reasonably priced, but they do not run long, and the stop locations are inconvenient. For long distances, there are taxi services, but you must call them for service, and they are outrageously priced.

Rather Unsure – I have not experienced the nightlife at my school firsthand. I hear stories of late night parties, and from what I understand there are always humorous stories to be told. My close circle of friends tend to avoid the drunken part of nightlife and hang out late chatting over coffee or just roaming around.

Safe Haven – Florida Southern's security is a definite plus to the school's appeal. The campus itself is in a very safe and scenic part of Lakeland, but Campus Safety is always readily available, regardless of one's situation. They have plenty of security officers roaming the campus at all times, so if you are in need of help, it is assured that one will be very close by.
