The only real nightlife is what we make for ourselves. But that works out alright most of the time.

Not a Fan
A am not a fan of greek life, and personally I think it is a little too prominent, but the members of Greek life are very involved with the rest of campus and tend to have a positive impact.

A Caring Campus
Allegheny has it's faults, but it is generally a great school. The students and professors are equally quirky and kind. I have had a problem with how I am treated by my instructors or my fellow students. The professors genuinely care about you, and worry for your well being. I feel like coming to Allegheny makes you part of a quirky accepting family that will always be there for you. All the staff here will go the extra mile just to make your college experience that much better. Plus there is nothing like hanging out at diner and having the Dean of your College stop and ask you about your day. At Allegheny the people care.

A Little Is Enough
There is a little bit of drug activity, but it is minimal. You are going to find some drugs on any College Campus, but on Allegheny it is barely noticeable.

Allegheny is Strict enough to keep things from getting dangerous, but they are so strict as to seriously impede anyone's fun.

Your Good Here, but If You Want to Leave...
On campus there is no need for transportation, which is nice. If you want anything from town it is an easy enough walk, and buses run fairly regularly. If you want to go any farther than that things get a bit more difficult. Not impossible, but not easy.

On Campus Living Requirement
Allegheny has a 3 year on campus living requirement for all students through the class of 2014 and a 4 year requirement for all students after. The apartments in Meadville are fairly cheap, but any prospective students will not have the option.

They Try
Allegheny tries for some diversity, but that is few and far between in Western PA. There are a lot of people here that come from all around the country, but most of them are Caucasian.

Not Really Needed
A car on campus is not really necessary, but for those who do have cars parking spaces can be annoying. The parking permits are not a terrible price, but spaces are limited and students will often park in the wrong lots.

Meadville Is Meadville
Meadville is not exactly the most exciting place. There is very little local atmosphere. We tend to make our own.

Difficult, but Kind
We work hard at Allegheny, but even though our professors are piling on work they are always helpful. I have never met a Professor at Allegheny who wasn't willing to help me with any problems I had. This school can beat you down sometimes, but it is generally a great place to be.
