The Community of Appleton, WI
Appleton is continually rated in the top 100 places to live in the nation and it is to no surprise. Appleton is very safe and full of life. Downtown Appleton is literally right down the street from Lawrence University, some claim it to be on campus. The Fox Valley Mall is only a 7 minute drive from campus along with Walmart and many other restaurants and attractions making Appleton very appealing to college students.

VARIETY
You'll find a wide variety of people at LU from nerds and musicians to jocks and greeks. Many do recognize the SAFE atmosphere created at Lawrence with groups such as G.L.O.W (gay, lesbian or whatever). There is are more woman then men on campus but overall you will find all walks of life.
