Suburb
slabbed in the middle of a suburban neighborhood. Majority are retired seniors living in cute nice houses. there is a small and cute boutique shopping area called the village. Only a ten minute walk from Pitzer. Have great and tasty bakeries, cute restaurants, and random boutique shops. Claremont is extremely safe. Since LA is 30 minutes away, it is hard to go in the city if one does not have a car. But it's a nice atmosphere for quiet and good quality study time! Senior residents are very nice. many walk their dogs around the college. One sir always walk his dog around 5:30pm. He always stops by the tennis courts and watches us play. During our matches, he would even cheer for us!

Tasty and Lots of Options
A great variety of choices. We have 6 dinning halls to choose from, all in short walking distance. The farthest dinning hall would be a 15 minute walk. THe closest is a 1 minute walk. Each dinning hall has their specialities. Scripps and CMC's dinning hall has good veggie options. Every night, there is a highlight somewhere in a dinning hall. Friday is tasty make your own pizza at Harvey Mudd, Pitzer has great Taco Tuesday. Very conveient!!!

Sports Are Fun!
Depending on what sport you do, there is a huge difference. I play for the tennis team. in D3, we are ranked #6 in the nation of all D3 schools. So tennis is very competitive. However, other teams such as Basketball are decent, but not good. Pitzer has a joint team with Pomona. However, sport are not so big at Pitzer. Few athletes. Athletic facilities are all on Pomona campus, but there are great. Wonderful training room staff. Yet, there is hardly any student interest in supporting sport teams.
