Constant Entertainment
The facilities at VCU are awesome. There's always something to do. Students can go to the Cary Street Gym (there's a hot tub, a pool, a waterslide, a rock wall, and more workout equiptment than I've ever seen) or head up to Carytown for food and shopping. The library is dubbed Club Cabell because so many people are always there. Shafer (the dining hall) is fairly decent, and outside of Shafer is the Compass, which is a hangout spot for everyone on warm days. The Student Commons always has activites going on, and there's also a large variety of food options there.

Buses Are Probably the Easiest
Bus passes are free for students, so that's the easiest way to get around. However, there's a big bus route and sometimes waiting for a bus takes a while. You can bring a car but you have to pay to park it. You can rent zip cars or try hitching rides with other students, but that's not exactly reliable. Walking is often one of the best ways to get around camps, and buses around Richmond.

I Love This School
To be honest, I really hated VCU when I first got here. There's a lot of people and it's easy to feel lost. But once I started joining organizations and getting involved, I fell in love. I love the gym, I love the weather, and I love the people. I party it up in Club Cabell all of the time with my study buddies. I eat at Shafer. I went to Belle Isle the other day (the river) and it was beautiful. It's filled with people and crossing the river is magnificent. We all laid out on the rocks and watched the sun set, and it was more relaxing than anything I've done this semester so far. I've made friends that I know will always be there for me. I would 100% choose this school again.
