Diversity at Ualbany
The campus is made up of a very diverse community. This is one of my favorite things about UAlbany. You will see people of all races and ethnic backgrounds. It makes me feel very welcomed because I myself was born in Paraguay and came to the United States at the age of seven. I think people learn to accept each other whether they like it or not. This prepares you for the real world. There aren't many challenges dealing with ethnic/racial diversity in my opinion. I think people are pretty open about who they are and where they come from. Economic background also covers a broad range of people but there are probably more middle-class people than other classes. Political beliefs/religion/sexual orientation are also factors that have a diversity which goes along with the cultural diversity. You will most like find people of all kinds on campus.

Parking at Ualbany
I don't have a car myself but many of my friends do. They are constantly worrying about parking because space is very lacking, ticketing fines are abundant and it is just a very big inconvenience. The downtown campus (Alumni Quad) is in especially bad shape. I live there last semester and found myself constantly giving my friends headaches when they came over. There is barely any space in the parking lot they have built specifically for the students and most have to find parking on the sometimes dangerous streets. This is definitely one of the things the campus should work on.

My mom has helped me a great deal with this but basically it was just always a nuisance.
