Earned Demerit but Be a Deserved Demerit

The strictness on underage drinking and substance follows a zero tolerance rule, which cannot be argued as unreasonable in any sense as it is against the law. But without using the word lenient, Virginia tech does give its students chances to redeem themselves, as every student is a good kid and got in here for a reason, and of course it is known that perfection does not exist. So when the 3 strike system is invoked, it takes courtesy on those who seem rowdier then others. So when one finds themselves kicked out for a semester, or maybe for good for getting arrested by the easy going Blacksburg Police more then once for being drunk in Public, or possibly thinking its smart to pregame in the dorms, get caught and just do it all over again the next weekend, the punishment is well deserved and earned. Really the zero tolerance policy should be renamed to A lack of Common Sense zero tolerance, as i have seen even the brightest of students act extremely dumb.

Oh the Wind

We see the array of meteorological phenomenons, whether it be the depths of snow, blazing heat in the dorm rooms, or the perfect spring day. But it gets cold fast in fall, and if the snow doesnt get to you, the wind will. Walking across campus on a daily basis is quite the trek with the wind blowing in your face, nearly knocking you over. But i guess its the schools way of making you appreciate being in class faster and as long as possible to stay out of the icky weather!
