Mediocre Technology Services
the wifi always shuts down in many dorms, and isn't even available in many. They have a limit on number of pages you can print, and it's never enough. after that you have to start paying. the computer labs are always full, there aren't enough easily accessible. But they have nice computers, and a pretty secure system. When the internet does work it's usually pretty fast.

Lots of Diversity
there tons of different races and cultures at U of M. Many people are friends with each other and tolerant of other customs and religions. there are many culturally-based student groups and places to go to discuss diversity issues.

Big Campus, Lots of Transportation
there are buses that run all the time during the week, and they are totally free. They go all over town and campus, and even to shopping centers outside of the city. It is very easy to get on a bus and go from one side of campus to another, but navigating the system can be tricky at first.
