Everyone's an Athlete
Student involvement is very high. Many people play varsity, and a mix of those who do and those who don't also play intramural. Even many of those who do neither are at the gym fairly regularly. There are dance classes, yoga, and broomball, in addition to the more typical team sport options. Some teams are good (women's XC, women's lacrosse, women's track, basketball) and some are bad (men's XC, tennis, women's hockey). There isn't generally much fan support. The fields are pretty nice but the field house is ancient and the hockey rink isn't great, either. The weight/machines room is pretty good.

Not Too Surprising
It's lovely in the spring/fall/summer, but very cold and windy in the winter, usually with good skiing. But, if you're coming to Colby, you should be prepared for that. Everyone who's not from Maine should try to spend a summer working on campus; it is so beautiful here!
